Aftercare for Long Lasting Spray on Tan

After you’ve had your spray tan applied, it’s important that you make sure to wait for your tan to completely dry one hundred percent before putting your cloths back on. Any wet spray on tan solution could possibly be rubbed off onto your clothing if you don’t wait the right amount of time to get dressed. In addition, you should wait at least about eight hours before your next shower, more if possible. This will allow the tan time to soak into your skin and if possible avoid sweating too much during these eight hours. When you do finally shower, don’t scrub with anything that could take off the tan leaving it blotchy, lightly cleanse using only your hands rather than a washcloth or anything for about a week. This will improve the length of time that your tan lasts as well as keep your skin soft. Applying aloe Vera lotion or other natural moisturizers are also great for keeping your tan absorbed into your skin.
Another important thing to avoid is beaded soaps and moisturisers, as you don’t want your tan to become speckled or uneven, this can be unsightly and hard to fix before the tan fades completely. As long as you take consideration that you have a tanning solution on and use your common sense to keep it safe and secure, you should be fine with whatever you choose to do. Just make sure your soaps and shampoos don’t have warnings about it and if you have any concerns as the consultant at your tanning salon for their opinion.
